Problem in network Windows 11 24h2

After updating to the new Windows 11h2, some machines experienced network issues with both cable and Wi-Fi. They connect but don’t get network access and receive an IP address starting with 169…, resulting in no internet or network connection. I updated drivers, firmware, and reset the network settings. The machines’ MAC addresses haven’t changed. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I think I've tried all the options. I've now reset my PC to 23H2.

Both systems aren't using Wi-Fi direct to router and show the same behavior no matter what I try, so I'm going back to 23H2 until MS gets its life together and gives an OS that doesn't require that you fix everything. I do appreciate your response.

For me, the solution was to remove DHCP Option 121, which I no longer needed. All our Win 11 24H2 laptops now connect to our Office Wi-Fi. Check your DHCP server and see if you can remove any of the DHCP options. I read someone had an issue with DHCP Option 43. With so much noise coming from the community, I thought Microsoft would have been a bit more proactive, all seems quiet on their end. Hope this helps someone. Good luck!
