Problem in network Windows 11 24h2

After updating to the new Windows 11h2, some machines experienced network issues with both cable and Wi-Fi. They connect but don’t get network access and receive an IP address starting with 169…, resulting in no internet or network connection. I updated drivers, firmware, and reset the network settings. The machines’ MAC addresses haven’t changed. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    Same issue with a gigabyte z690 UD DDR4 motherboard and realtek 2.5Gb ethernet.

    Approximately each 24 hours when I turn on my PC i have link up but no valid IP (only ip in 169, default ip when no dhcp). I I thought it was my DHCP server but no, each other computer get IP address.

    With wireshark i can see traffic on network.

    i have try a lot of things like reinstall windows, change drivers, change switch, change DHCP server.

    I have found a workaround, i turn off my switch, wait 15s and turn on my switch. Windows detect link down/up and network is back.

    For the moment i downgrade to 23h2, waiting for a real patch from MS.

    I face the wifi connecting issues it gives "can't connect to the network" message

    Removing WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Services from the DependonService under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Wcmsvc worked for both the Wi-Fi and Ethernet Network Adapters

    Previously they were disabled.

    Out of interest, if the laptop was connected to a docking station via USB C or had a USB C to Ethernet Adapter cable attached, then the Network port on the dock or on the adapter worked fine. It was only on the onboard Adapters that were in a disabled state.

    The laptop was a Lenovo T14 Gen 4

    This did not work on my Lenovo PC.

    The device cannot start (Code 10), Intel Ethernet Connection (14) l219-LM

    My motherboard Realtek PCIe GbE nic does work, thankfully.

    Desktop Lenovo PC

    The latest 2024-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5044384) did not resolve the issue.

    I tried various troubleshooting including removing the device drivers and downloading new device drivers for the Intel l219-LM, via Intel, Microsoft, and Lenovo.

    I solved the issue by going into my Lenovo BIOS, disabling the motherboard Nic, restarting the PC, going back into the Lenovo BIOS and enabling the motherboard Nic. All my Nics were then recognized after the installation of Windows 11, version 24H2... The Intel nic was my motherboard nic and the RealTek was my add-in...
