Problem in network Windows 11 24h2

I just downloaded Windows update KB5048667. No joy. Internet still drops out every few minutes.

We have a fleet of Windows 11 24H2 that can now get an IP address from our office DHCP server, only after removing DHCP Option 121. They were having trouble obtaining the IP address from their home routers, the solution for most of them was to ensure they enabled WPA/WPA2 Personal or better, on their WiFi routers.

WPA/WPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES): Some devices offer—and even recommend—this mixed-mode option. It enables both WPA and WPA2, using both TKIP and AES. While this ensures maximum compatibility with older devices, it also exposes your network to potential breaches through the less secure WPA and TKIP protocols.

For me, the solution was to remove DHCP Option 121, which I no longer needed. All our Win 11 24H2 laptops now connect to our Office Wi-Fi. Check your DHCP server and see if you can remove any of the DHCP options. I read someone had an issue with DHCP Option 43. With so much noise coming from the community, I thought Microsoft would have been a bit more proactive, all seems quiet on their end. Hope this helps someone. Good luck!

My problem has been solved in the meantime. First I discovered that when checking the network settings, instead of only one, there opened two tabs - first one saying that there were two network connections, one private (as always) and the second unidentified. Proceeding, there was the second tableau saying that it was a private network. But the unidentified network displayed in the first case used exactly the same adaptor and the same internet connection. I searched for a solution in the internet, and this seems to be a frequent error ocurring after an update, also in previous Windows versions. I learne that a network reset would solve the problem. As I searched for the solution in German language sites, I can't reproduce the advice they gave. I therefore looked up if there are English language sites with similar proposals. The proceeding that I followed was using the command prompt with administor privileges. And if I remember correctly, it was the second of the commands proposed that I applied, and with success. When the operation was completed, he unidentified network had disappeared completely. I had full access to my laptop in my network. But still I couldn't open my NAS. It was displayed, but I had acess only to its control panel, not to the data folders. I called the support of Western Digital, the manufacturer, and the technician there had a solution. With immense patience, he guided me via co-browsing through the process of reintegrating the NAS in the network by adressing it not as usual but using its IP address. Now everything is working as it should.

Right click on start, then click on system, and then in the left column again on system, scroll down to info. Back to the previous windows version is under system restore.
