Windows 11, "no audio devices found" both input and output. What happened to my speakers in the laptop?

My guess it that it's a microsoft bug in the audio driver. When the sound disappears and you cannot find the sound device in the speaker tray (speaker icon in lower right of screen), then do the following :

1. Open Search Box
2. Enter "devices" and "Device Manager" should appear.
3. Click on it.
4. Open "Sound, video, and game controllers" > "High Definition Audio Device" (windows 10)
5. The device status probably says, "Error 43". It does not say, "This device is working properly".
6. Try to disable & re-enable the device (go to driver tab or right-click on the "High Definition Audio Device" icon).
7. If that doesn't work, reboot the machine.

My laptop (Asus S16 hx365 zenbook) recently had a BIOS update which might be reducing the problem. Other than that, you might look for a NEWER OR OLDER sound drivers and try different versions to get them to work. This problem is probably Microsoft. I have had the sound cut out from driver crashes on BOTH windows 10 AND windows 11 on 2 completely different platforms (Asus Tuf x570 motherboard / 5950x, and Asus Zenbook S16 laptop / Ryzen AI 365 processor). The problem is not getting fixed by microsoft. They don't seem to care but they should.

Thanks it all started when I activated windows and in setings got an update took 2 hours to load then after restart no sound but i can use bluetooth headphones. I agree I dont think microsoft gives a toss ( Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5046617).

If you have Norton on your computer go do to the driver updater and revert to previous version. I discovered this after 2 days of driving myself crazy. lol
