If your device model is UM5606WA, then install this V6.0.9694.1, if already tried means, share hardware device id of realtek audio chip

I found your reply more helpful than the Microsoft agent. I also had an error under Intel High Definition DSP.

How can this problem be a hardware issue when the problem exists on Lenovo, Dell, HP, etc.

Very frustrating as it happened out of nowhere.

I'm having the same problem. I just downloaded two new updates that might have something to do with this, but I have no idea what to do. I have attempted the sugggestions here and the auto-troubleshoot with no luck. Anybody got suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I had exactly same problem with my Lenovo Laptop.

In the service list, there was 1 service not starting: Intel(R) Audio Service.

Then, in devices manager, the corresponding device, Intel Smart Sound Technologie OED, had its driver not working.

I update the driver for this device and the problem was solved
