    If rebooting fixes the sound (for a while - then it stops making sound again), then you have a broken driver software, and need a driver update.

    Thanks - I went to Dell (I have a Dell Latitude) website and downloaded drivers from there. All fixed even though Windows 11 was telling me everything was up to date
