How do I get my Realtek Audio Driver back on my HP laptop? It has completely disappeared. It is no longer in the Device Driver to add back or update. Ive tried to find the device driver by going to to device manager there is no audio to choose from and when I go down to the sound it only shows Bluetooth devices that are not in use anymore.

Thank you

Robyn F

Ok, after finishing the process if the sound does not work again, the last solution I know is to use HP audio check, which is the manufacturer's software.

If this solution does not work, you will need to wait for another Advisor to help you.

Ok thank you. It is still attempting repairs to restart. I have to leave for a while. I will let you know as soon as I can get back to my computer I’m on my phone for now to give you updates.

Hello and good morning, busy day yesterday, so I just tried again and this keeps happening, my computer is running repairs to itself , its runs it then runs into a problem and has to rerun the repair or I’ve gotten this sec pic message twice now in this repair attempt. The 1st pic just happened for the 3rd time in this repair attempt so I’m sure the 2nd pic will happen again so right now it’s in this self repair cycle ImageImage

If I choose advanced options I get this.

This 1st time I chose continue to Windows 11. Then I got the automatic repair I chose the advanced options again. I don’t know if I should turn it off it might not restart correctly. Idk if troubleshoot is the right choice either. SMH.

Start your PC, as soon as Windows tries to load (spinning dots appear), press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds to perform a forced shutdown

Do this two or three times.

Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment.

Select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore

If the problem persists, select Advanced options > Startup Repair.
