We upgraded to 24H2 and now our SCR3310 card reader is no longer recognized and we now cannot log in with our CAC card. Is there a fix?

We downloaded latest drivers, removed and reinstalled the driver, tried different USB ports. It shows up as working properly in Device Mgr but that's it. The light won't come on, it ignores the reader. Help.

    got a reply:

The latest Windows 11 update will cause the driver to be disabled.
Please turn of Memory Integrity in Windows 11 to resolve this issue.

    Right click Windows icon.
    Select System
    Select Privacy and Security
    Select Windows Security
    Select Device security
    Select Core isolation details
    Turn off memory integrity

Already tested this and nothing change.

For me, issue is from "Smart Card Service" or discussion between this service and windows core, not on drivers side - all my test seems to confirm this, as if I delete drivers and unplug reader, issue is same on "certutil.exe -scinfo" command.

Tested (as Matt Dooris) and issue still present.

Tested by delete old drivers and reinstall smartcard reader and last drivers (4.68) but same issue.

In my case, reader is "SCR35xx USB..." but issue is exactly the same and linked to the windows 24H2 upgrade

    Exactly,

did the same today again, downloaded again the latest drivers from - https://support.identiv.com/scr3310v2/

and still didn't resolve the problem

to my luck that pc still had the 10 days grace period to restore to previous build so we did it and right away problem fixed.

    i also contacted the manufacture - https://support.identiv.com/contact/

    got a reply:

We tried it as well and it didn't solve the problem.

only thing to solve it was to restore back to previous windows build.

and sent them again a support ticked that it didn't solve it and a a link to this conversation thread - and asking them to contact Microsoft Team on behalf of their side, as it breaks usability with their product.

    Hi Jeff,

Already tryed but issue still here (and Matt have same issue is seems)

For my, issue is not on drivers side :

    If I remove reader

Force service to be continuously up

Use this command : "certutil.exe -scinfo"

return is not as wanted :"no readers found error" or "service not launch" but service issue with "service is running" and then "service is not running" that seems to say last windows upgrade break something on the communication with the service.

    Regards,

    Nicolas

    Nicholas,

Try downloading an updated driver from the following website. Other users said this fixed the issue.
