I still don't have sound for the last month since the update and can't get it.
My computer also will not recognize my external cd drive, so I cannot load any of my software or data here.

I followed all the instructions, but I can't find Realtek listed. I did a few scans, but nothing shows up except Nvidia and it says it's up to date.
Still no sound

Thanks for this info, but I am really clueless re this tech stuff.
I do know that I had realtek installed and was playing music minutes before the update but since then, they say I don't have it. Also, every time I rebooted, it said Nvidia was not installed but gave me a link to install and then everything was fine. I'm beginning to HATE THIS COMPUTER.
Hi Shirley,
your Computer isn't the prob.
The problem is the high-tech companies that only want to sell their expensive computers but later don't want to know anything about customers. They leave us alone with the problems.
Hi Doug,
From realteks download page, tried to downlod the Driver, but received file with name: not 'confirmed 65118.crdownload'! - never heard that.
Can't do anything with that!
