2025-01-29T15:52:59+00:00 That is good to know. However, it would still be best to update the drivers with HPIA utility. This way you can be assured all drivers, firmware (for G5 dock) and BIOs are all current. I like the peace of mind. In addition, you can always keep your existing hardware devices connected. One other thing I would like to add is, updating firmware for Logi cam. The same would apply to all headsets that are Teams approved such as Jabra. I have become a big believer in updating all devices to the current firmware and / or driver spec's over the past 2 years. JMPO

2025-01-29T15:41:15+00:00 Have same issue with HP Laptop plugged in into HP USB-C G5 Dock. After the 24H2 update. Realtek sound stopped working. Found solution, the Logi web cam C920e plugged into the same G5 Dock caused realtek to stop working. Removed webcam from dock and restarted laptop. Realtek sound worked. I was able to plug the webcam into laptop directly and realtek stayed working.

2025-01-29T14:20:41+00:00 If the issue is with an HP computer, I would run the HPIA utility. This will check for the BIOS and any other drivers that need to be updated. It generally works for me and my end users with Audio or any other driver related issues on HP computers. Microsoft needs to stop pushing drivers for 3rd party products. stick with vulnerability and security updates.
