I had this same problem and I fixed it installing all the optional updates.

Go to Windows Updates -> Advanced options, then under Additional options, click on Optional updates.

The drivers / firmware for HP Laptop, HP G5 Doc, & Logi Camera are all up to date. There is some issue with the Microsoft 24H2 update causing the Realtek failure.

That is good to know. However, it would still be best to update the drivers with HPIA utility. This way you can be assured all drivers, firmware (for G5 dock) and BIOs are all current. I like the peace of mind. In addition, you can always keep your existing hardware devices connected. One other thing I would like to add is, updating firmware for Logi cam. The same would apply to all headsets that are Teams approved such as Jabra. I have become a big believer in updating all devices to the current firmware and / or driver spec's over the past 2 years. Have same issue with HP Laptop plugged in into HP USB-C G5 Dock. After the 24H2 update. Realtek sound stopped working. Found solution, the Logi web cam C920e plugged into the same G5 Dock caused realtek to stop working. Removed webcam from dock and restarted laptop. Realtek sound worked. I was able to plug the webcam into laptop directly and realtek stayed working.
