Using Phone Link on computer it creates a group in chat - and does not send message to recipient

Phone is up to date

Computers are both up to date with MS update

BUT

Using Phone Link when I send a message to one of the people I message often rather than send message it creates a group. (see below)

On my phone it then shows as a group chat - which I can't edit

Works fine on my phone - but not on Phone Link - on both computers I own. Screenshot of how it ends up below.

I also have quite a few messages where both the name of recipient and my phone number comes up - just a bit of a pain.

I'd really appreciate any help on this

Thanks heaps

Gary

    Hi Lara,

    From a previous post:

Re-install version 1.24111.82.0 (it absolutely fixes the problem). https://phone-link.en.uptodown.com/windows/versions

Hopefully, the last couple of posts suggest that the issue has been fixed.

I haven't tried yet - but fingers crossed!!!

I was experiencing the issue with v1.25011.56.0. I have now installed the latest version--v1.25012.100.0--and, based on one test without a problem, it looks like the issue has been fixed. But then, one swallow doesn't necessarily make a spring.

Same problem - using HMD Pulse Pro.

Reverted to version 1.24101.60.0 and this solves the issue.

It would be nice if the ACTUAL issue was solved in the subsequent versions.

How do you revert back? Phone link isn't even showing in apps and features?

After reverting to the suggested older version a week ago, mine has today gone and updated itself to v1. 25 and from on test message I sent, the problem seems to be eliminated. Fingers crossed....
