Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?

Hi All,

I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.

Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thanks.

    Hi All,

I have a similar problem but with a twist, we have multiple brother MFC-L2750DW mono laser printers in the office. We recently bought two (identical?) new HP ultra 5 pc's.

Ran through the process to bring data across from old windows 10 pc's, one has successfully integrated all of the old data and apps with little to no issues and brother drivers and CC4 control centre works as it should for all of the printers the other had the software and drivers however it would load the brother utility app then stop when the CC4 button was pressed show the circle to indicate it is thinking then go no further. I have uninstalled and reinstalled brother software with no success and have now lost the utility and CC4 programs completely.

Have you read through the earlier posts, starting from first page?

There are a number of different possible solutions.

Another member of the community suggested to download from Microsoft Store IPrint&Scan and it did resolve the problem. Able to print and scan

I was able to install the Brother IPrint&Scan and was able to scan. Haven't tried printing yet but I'm hopeful that will remain unchanged. I wasn't having any problem with printing before.

Thank you everyone for all your feedback and help!

https://www.naps2.com/ or https://www.hamrick.com are both full featured scanner packages unlike the bare bones Microsoft support. The former is free open source the latter a paid product. Neither have problems with direct or networked scanners.

Brother and Microsoft have a common denominator that they [might not do] care about profitable business customers, but for the rest?
