At this point I doubt Microsoft is doing anything. Why would they expend resources when there is no money in it? The money to be made is forcing all of us to buy new printer/scanners. Microsoft please prove me wrong!
Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?
Hi All,
I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.
Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
Nancy

2025-06-13T17:38:12+00:00 You probably wont be surprised to hear that I was in contact with Teck person at Brother as well as Microsoft and guess what there final answers was:
Brother: 'It is Microsoft issue' and Microsoft: 'It is Brother issue'
They dont seem to care and we get stuck with the problem

2025-06-13T18:26:28+00:00 I think Brother can fix this problem if they wanted to. I mean, so many computers running the latest Windows version have never had any problem with Brother printers (several of mine are in this category), and of those that have had problems, many people have found workarounds (mine was simply switching to Brother iPrintScan instead of Control Center).

2025-06-17T14:38:21+00:00 Following your suggestion I asked Brother to be able to download IprintScan from their support but they tell me my printer version is too old(MFC-L2700DW)...and doesn't support. I did tried anyway but not working. Someone else from the community suggested to download IPrintScan from the Microsoft Store and this app works. Can you imagine Brother after exchanging multiple emails within 1 week they were not be able to help..Wow!!

Hi All,
I have a similar problem but with a twist, we have multiple brother MFC-L2750DW mono laser printers in the office. We recently bought two (identical?) new HP ultra 5 pc's.
Ran through the process to bring data across from old windows 10 pc's, one has successfully integrated all of the old data and apps with little to no issues and brother drivers and CC4 control centre works as it should for all of the printers the other had the software and drivers however it would load the brother utility app then stop when the CC4 button was pressed show the circle to indicate it is thinking then go no further. I have uninstalled and reinstalled brother software with no success and have now lost the utility and CC4 programs completely.
