thanks, I got already it to work but did not exactly remember how, so I could not post it. I think I did exactly what you posted, so I recommend that. Thanks for the effort. I have a brother MFC-L8690CDW
Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?
Hi All,
I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.
Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
Nancy

2025-06-09T06:31:20+00:00 Sounds like all these options have me installing another program/app or something else that doesn't fix the problem it just works around the problem, sort of. I had downloaded "the fixes" as suggested and it still isn't working. I scan 2 or 3 pages, using the feeder and if all the pages are scanned, it puts each page in a separate file. I need all the pages in the same file, one page after the other. It was working before Microsoft made whatever updates/fixes. Why can't this just be fixed. So ridiculous!

2025-06-11T17:39:17+00:00 I see that your driver date is June 2024 and mine is September 2016 after installed full package yesterday from Brother. Could that be because of model # I Have Brother MFC-L2700DW

2025-06-11T17:48:31+00:00 I have a Brother MFC 8810DW and still waiting for solution. I went through all of Brothers trouble shooting. The told me it's a Microsoft issue. I even purchased Fortect software and support because they said they could fix it. After a month of trying different fixes they gave up and told me to contact Microsoft as they were unable to fix.
