Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?

2.) What were the steps the Microsoft tech rep performed on your computer?

Since upgrading to Windows 11 24H2 on 04/07/25, my Brother MFC9560CDW printer/scanner has stopped working. It appears the Brother scanner driver or Control Center 4 software can no longer communicate with the MSI laptop. According to Brother tech support, Microsoft is aware of this problem and plans to release a fix. Microsoft PLANS to release a fix? I see Windows 11 24H2 scanner issues starting as far back as the end of 2024. It's now April 8th, 2025. I've also seen reports that other printer brands like HP and Epson having the same scanner issue. This is why I initially held off on installing the 24H2 update until 04/07/25. Guess I didn't wait long enough to dodge the bugs in 24H2. Microsoft, where is the resolution for this scanner driver/configuration issue?

Finally MS fixed the problem! The scan problem was solved by MS latest updates [2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5055523)]. Kofax PaperPort 4.7 SE (twain driver) works by re-installation of Brother driver and software after updates. Brother iPrint & Scan also works.

Finally fixed... for Kofax?? Control center 4 ... still hooped. The fleet of individuals using CC4 likely remain unreliable using this utility for brother printers. The ones that have work around great. No work around... too bad, right? 250 plus models still affected. I tried with the new updates one more time, and yet again, garbage ... no scanner, the cc4 sometimes comes up blank... pure nonsense. Right on Brother, and windows 11... stick it. Geesh

Am I to understand that now, after the last update on April 8, the scanner is also functional for scanning from device to laptop? Is the installation of the Brother application done normally, as before, or is another "trick" needed? Do I just have to uninstall all the Brother software and then reinstall it? Do you need to do something extra? My device is MFC-L8690CDW.

I don't like the Brother iPrint app. I prefer CC4.

If scanner is still not working after installing the [2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5055523)], you will need to uninstall, ensure you reboot and then reinstall your printer/scanner software.
