Win 11 ver. 24H2 causing Brother scanning driver install to fail. How to fix?

I tried this and I still am only able to scan one page. I did figure out that I needed to change the setting to feeder which the people at Microsoft didn't tell me to do so I can now use the feeder but it only scanned the first page even though it did feed both pages. Any suggestions?

From your description, this sounds like its an issue with the configuration or settings on the Brother printer software and not related to the Microsoft driver/software issue. If you can scan one page using the Brother software, the communication between the scanner and the computer has been restored. With the Brother software configured correctly, I cannot imagine any reason why you can't scan multiple pages from the document feeder.

Same here, same problem. I have a new install on a new computer and the Brother Utilities Scanner cannot find the scanner. I am able to scan from Kofax PaperPort if I choose the WIA driver, including double sided scans. Unfortunately the Kofax PaperPort using WIA makes a file about 2.5 times bigger than the Nuance version of PaperPort. I do have the Brother MFC 2750DW installed on an older computer with the latest Windows 11 updates and it is working fine there and uses Nuance's PaperPort so that is my work around for the time being. I would like to eventually use the Brother for scanning on the new computer.

Okay so I originally reported this to both Brother and Microsoft wayyyy back when 24h2 was released. So I have just found a solid workaround for multiple brother models (MFC models at least but I suppose this should work for all). First and foremost, you must have the KB5048667 windows update installed. If you have it installed, confirm that you have all windows updates complete and reboot the PC. Now uninstall the Brother Full software package for your model printer and reboot. Confirm that the printer you are trying to install doesn't have a second que in Printers and Scanners. If it does, delete it, turn off "Setup Network Connected Devices Automatically" for your network type profile. Now, install the full Brother software package for your printer, if you are going to be installing multiple Brother printer software packages, you MUST install the older package first. For example, we have both MFC9560cdw and MFC9340cdw, the 9560 software is actually older so we install that first, remember to reboot between each step. NO, your scanner will not work yet in CC4 but we'll get to that later. Complete the software install/installs. Then using status monitor, confirm that you complete all Brother software updates. Reboot again. Now try scanning with CC4. Most likely will fail saying it's not available. No Problem, the software package has installed the driver but for whatever reason it doesn't choose the right driver to the imaging device in "Device Manager". Open device manager and right click the imaging device que for the Brother printer you are trying to scan with. Choose update driver, browse my computer for drivers, let me pick from a list of available drivers on this computer, choose the driver that matches your printer name. Now reboot. Your network scans in CC4 will now work. This was repeatable on 4 different PCs so I'm quite sure this should be a reliable workaround.

I've tried every single fix provided for my ADS-1800W and nothing has worked for me! I am starting to think scanning is gone until a new update rolls out. I am so mad i wasted money on a new scanner. If anyone has my type of scanner and figures out a fix, please, please, pleaseeee let me know! I appreciate every response received. Thank you so much!
