This does work inasmuch as it allows a single scan....is there a way in this software to use the document feeder for scanning? I cannot find it.
I cant understand how THIS works easily, just install the software....yet Brother's doesnt work at all.

Hi All,
I have a Brother DCP-7065DN multi-function machine, connected to my Windows 11 desktop computer. I was having some problems with a label printer and pursuant to that I disinstalled the Brother software and re-installed it. Since the re-install, the Brother printer driver installed but the scanner driver installation failed. I've tried multiple times.
Brother has noted this as a problem with Windows 11 Version 24H2. (See attached link.)
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
Thanks.
Nancy

Hi there! I tried your suggestion, and I am still unable to scan from my scanner. The only way i can get the machine to work is if I open up iprint & scan each time I want to scan something. Before I had the ability to setup and short cut on my device, hit scan and everything went directly to the folder of my choosing. I appreciate your help. I am super frustrated at this point. I purchased a brand-new scanner thinking my old one was the issue. Now I have two scanners sitting here that do not work properly. When i go into Iprint/Scan and try to setup from machine settings it repeatedly tells me over and over i need to download the full software package even though i did it, IT did it and it sounds like everyone else in America did it. When will they have a fix available? This is bologna.
Thank you!! I will give this a try and report back if it worked. :)
I think I found the solution. At least this fixed my Brothers MFC-L8850CDW.
I uninstalled all of the brothers' software and rebooted as prompted. I installed a fresh install of the "full driver and software pack." (This step is likely unnecessary; it's just information about what I did.)
Open Brother utilities, go to the tools tab and run the installation diagnostics. Confirm the state of the scanner. (Mine said it failed, and all others passed.)
Navigate to the control panel for Windows by searching for "control panels" in the upper right search bar and typing "scanner." From the results, click on "View scanners and cameras." Confirm that the scanner and cameras are empty.
Go to the brothers' site and download the driver-only pack. Extract the pack and open the extracted file folder. From here, you are looking for "applications" I had two; mine were "dpinstx64" and "dpinstx86". I ran both for overkill. (double-click the file name). (You shouldn't see anything happen)
From here, go back to your scanner window in the control panels and click "refresh." You should see a scanner populate. Test and start scanning.
Agreed! I spent 2.5hrs on the phone with IT only to find it was a Microsoft issue. I have a brand new computer that hasn't worked properly due to this "little" update. I definitely see a class action on the horizon. Thinking about sending the IT bill to microsoft.
