Latest Windows 11 24/H2 Release and Graphics Issues

I have read issues around Windows 11 24H2 which cause disruption /conflicts with GPU (eg NVidia) and iGPU (eg Intel Graphics)

I use both GPU's for Video and Photography processing for the Apps I have.

My iGPU is Enabled in BIOS and should not be disabled which it seems can happen with Windows 11 24H2. This is a step into the dark ages.

From evidence I see Windows 11 24H2 kills the iGPU

Has anyone else found this and what is Microsoft doing to fix it?

    So yesterday (29th April 2025) after trying to hold back Windows 11 24H2 from updating my Win 11 23H2 version - Win 11 24H2 seemed to have appeared by stealth on my Video editing platform.

    When I spotted this I was a bit horrified to anticipate major Graphics issues that have been encountered by various Video editors and Gamers sonce its release.

    However, I have read several articles recently that claim Microsoft and NVidia (in particular) had worked on new updates and driver updates to the early reported problems.

    Can't find any release notes on any of this so far though.

    On my own PC there were Win 11 24H2 updates still to be loaded so these were all done as well as an optional update KB5055627, which, according to some info I found on Microsoft web site release notes which claims solved a BSOD (blue screen of death) issue on some users machines.

    After reporting no other updates available I conducted some tests on my NVidia 4080 and Premiere Pro Video editing software and so far, this all appears to be working OK. Fingers crossed.

    I am assuming the Media Creator version on Microsoft's website should also reflect recent changes?, but very often when these are loaded from a USB stick other updates do get uploaded to get the version completely up to date for your own hardware.

    If feasible, it many be worthwhile trying a completely new fresh install from a new download of Media Creator Win 11 24H2.

    I've not seen any helpful set of release notes from Microsoft which might identify specific fixes for Graphics with AMD/NVidia . All they seem to list is totally obscure stuff which is only likely to affect a small population of users.

    Seems many Tech Sites recommend uudump.net which claim to download from actual Microsoft Servers.

    Various Windows build versions can be accessed

    Some Microsoft Moderators on this Forum also seem to reference it.

    Never used it myself yet.

    I think at the very least when a new major release is made to the public, Microsoft should be legally obliged to offer the previous release (including all relevant updates ) as a fall back until major new release issues are resolved.

    I think many users have asked for this.
