Cannot play Marvel Rivals because of "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system"

When I launch Marvel Rivals on Steam, a message pops up as below

"DirectX 12 is not supported on your system

Please update your Windows 10 64-bit operating system (version 1909 or later) and upgrade your graphics card driver.

Ensure that your graphics card meets the minimum requirements (NVIDIA GTX 1060 or AMD RX 580)."

Here's my current system.

  • Win 10 version 2004
  • Graphic GTX 1660S

Please help me check this issue.

    Hello,Dave! I seem to have the same problem as the person reporting this,however, I am running windows 10 on version 22H2, but still get the error when trying to play marvel rivals. Any tips?

    I believe your MX130 would have only 2GB VRAM, and the games minimum specs call for 6 GB VRAM...

    8 vs 12GB system RAM is also a problem. Even if the game were able to launch the frame rates would likely be a slide show.

    The MX130 is quite capable with a lot of games, particularly @1280x720, but a lot of new games don't have as wide a range of effects options

    as games such as FIFA series, which is just one example of games that have always had a wide range of graphics effects.

    I believe the main reason this game has a relatively narrow spec range is it uses DX 12 effect, and recent DX12 games tend to not

    have options to use older DX9,10,11 effects.

    Unfortunately, your machine is well below spec. The minimum graphics processor is Nvidia GTX1060 \ AMD FX580.

    So this means a NVIDIA MX130 won't be able to run the game? I have the latest version of windows 11, but my notebook has little RAM (8GB I think)...
