Need fix for lost audio from update to Windows 24H2

I did what a couple of you suggested. Get Microsoft support via live chat. It took about 1 1/2 - 2 hours but they fixed it. I have sound now.

Here is an update to my post that originated this thread. Today, Microsoft forced me to update to Windows 24H2. I couldn't figure a way not to update. As expected, the update disabled my sound. I went to do a recovery to the previous operating system and in that process found a way to contact Microsoft Support. Using the onscreen chat, I had about a 10 minute wait and then connected with an agent who fixed the issue through remote access. I now have Windows 11 24H2 and an operating sound system. I'm posting this in case it helps anyone else.

Question— in updates area, is it possible to select the updates that were most recently applied, and deinstall?

Not something I’ve done, but I thought the capability exists or did.

BTW, I noticed that a previously queued update to 24H2 (that failed) on one of my systems was subsequently removed. So it seems at least for some systems MS pulled the update.

I have the exact same problem. The audio jack does not produce sounds. The laptop speaker does not produce sound. Bluetooth speakers do not work.

The only thing working is the USB headsets.

I have the same problem and after searching for hours, it is with the cridspapo.dll file that the 24H2 screwed up. My question, is there a work around? Is there anyway to get sound without waiting for Microsoft to get the update to that file?

In the meantime, I cannot roll back. My time expired to do so.
