It seems to be a known issue but seeing as there are no fixes yet, maybe you need more people to bring up the problem.
Ever since the 24H2 update, games have been freezing up the entire computer, forcing a hard-reboot with no other solutions.
And yes, I've tried re-installing/updating graphics driver, and pretty much every solution offered so far with no avail (some mention turning off Auto-HDR, some mention disabling multi-threading options in-game, etc.).
The only solution on specific game, POE2, that has worked is playing it on DirectX11 instead of DirectX12.
Apparently the issue is easily resolved by rolling back to 23H2, but instead of the users having to resort to finding a way to downgrade their updates, is there a fix coming from Windows any time soon?

When is the fix coming? There are so many people having issues with gaming on windows right now and I'm basically SOL because I've gone past 10 days and can't roll back without doing a completely fresh install of 23H2. That's ridiculous. I can't play a single round of Call of Duty without the good old DirectX error crashing my game. I spent $3000 on a nice computer and now I can't play games on it. The primary purpose of my machine. What the heck Microsoft.
I'm sorry for the problem as long as Microsoft is making billions of dollars a day, there is no need for them to help you as long as you are on the web as you are tracked, bill gates check is doing better then the people suffering. As best bet is to just reinstall it over and over again to keep busy and some frustration and distraction as you are wasting you time with Windows 11 home or pro!!!! thank you for surfing on this web, we will wait until 2025 so 23h2 November will expire and we will continue with more issues in the future. As already windows 24h2 has much much more problems, we will like you to not hack and crack windows as the money to the company is doing very will in the stock markets. Please just join us in the stock and buy more stocks so the company of windows will be around for a long time just slacking off with customers and Operating Systems.

(There been problems since Windows Vista has been created. as the problems cont. through Windows 8,10,11 If you need more problems please just buy the Original Disk (199.99 Yeah!!) and spend money for nothing)
I had huge problems as well with 24H2 on a bunch of games, and some games froze the system completely, forcing me to reset the computer. For us gamers, that version is unusable and has been so ever since the update rolled out, and so far nothing from Microsoft to address it, literally nothing, except for the typical Microsoft support baloney saying that something is wrong on our end and just giving us a list for troubleshooting and calling it a day.
I was lucky I had the option to roll back to 23H2, which solved all issues. If they still think we will update in the future without addressing the problems with games, I'll just roll back to Windows 10. I'm so frustrated with how unconcerned they are about the whole thing and drag their feet.
