windows 11 file explorer not showing preview for *.pes files

New computer running windows 11. File explorer not showing preview for *.pes files (Brother Embroidery Software), but worked with no issues in Windows 10. Have read all of the potential solutions with no help. Appears file explorer cannot find the preview and may be associated with Onedrive, but not sure.

Contacted MS support and they said it was a 3rd party software issue and not a MS problem. They just ignored that everything worked fine in windows 10.

Would appreciate any help.

    Strange. Is your installation folder the standard location of C:\Program Files (x86)\Brother\PE-DESIGN 11 ? The registry entries I sent won't work correctly if the software is installed to a different location.

    Could you try moving your files out of the OneDrive folder to C:\Users\maryruthpupa\Documents? Also check your OneDrive settings and ensure "Files on demand" is not checked. That puts your files in the cloud and only brings them local when you use them. I don't think thumbnails work when that feature is enabled.

    Ran the script and did not show an image.

    The Win File Explorer now does not show the flower - see below

    What does the information you provided actually do?

    Those are the registry entries created by the PE-Design 11 setup program, many of which are required to support thumbnails.

    In theory, your computer should already have all of these entries, but it couldn't hurt to reapply them.
