Update KB5050009 not installing.

Nothin has worked for me. I have tried everything suggested here... Starting to get annoyed...

Same here. I manually downloaded and installed KB505009 but windows update keeps trying to download and install it and then fails. Already tried the pause updates for 1 week and windows still fails to detect it's already installed.

This is the only thing that worked for me:

Downloading and installation will take about an hour, depending on the speed of the computer, if the C: drive is a Hard Disk or an SSD, and the transfer rate of its onboard memory.

6. Once done installing, the computer must be restarted. As the system starts back up, it will report installing updates. It may in fact auto-reboot a time or two, until all the updates are completed.
7. Once Windows come back up, we will find our preferences, apps and data are intact, save system interception apps, such as Start Menu X, mentioned above, which can be easily reinstated by simply launching the app again.
8. Go back into Start / Settings / Windows Update and select Check for Updates, then go into Advanced Options / Optional Updates, to install any optional updates, if any, that are needed for the very latest version of Windows 11 24H2."

It worked without a glitch!

I was able to execute most of these steps (through step 6) and now I get the following message:

"This update can't be downloaded and installed because it's not yet ready for your device."

Does this mean that Microsoft is looking into the issues we have experiencing and has paused any further updates?

So I did the same thing with installing files individually, got the same error. Then i went to advanced options and attempted to just wipe it clean with user files and i was stuck on retry for repair and not the update anymore. Before all that I also wiped out software distribution files and that didn't work. What worked for me was pausing updates and then resuming the updates. Now I don't have updates being stuck on restart.
