Update KB5050009 not installing.

I have tried to update to 2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009) but i get the (Install error - 0x80070306)

I have restarted and shut down my computer multiple times to see if that would fix it but it didn't. I've also tried re-installing the update as well.

Please let me know what i can do to.

    Very usefull, expecially if you have more than 300pc, when i've finished windows 12 is released.

    Dear Microsoft,

    Please can you fix this cycle of the Windows updates for 24H2 not installing. The KB5050009 is the second of these updates that refuses to install for a lot of users. Yes we have tried all the hacks to see if we can get it to work.

    Right now my critical machine is rebooting every night and you have disabled the option to pause updates "until the machine is up-to-date".

    Why is the option to repair that sometimes shows up to repair the OS installing the previous revision and not the most recent revision.

    If one of your North American based team that can resolve the issue wants to look at the install logs I'm happy to have a teams call.

    Yes, please fix these two updates: KB5050577 (Installing - 0%), KB5050094 (Downloading - 0%). I have restarted several times. I have not tried multiplicity of fixes given above, as later posts indicate they do not work without significant "hacking".

    I've got this same issue with Server 2025 - just one server out of several dozen, and it's not clear why this one only is affected.

    It's normally updated through WSUS. As the update was failing, I disapplied the WSUS GPO and tried updating it direct from the Microsoft update servers. Same error. Tried clearing the update cach. Same error. Tried downloading the standalone installer. Yep, same error!

    Also tried pausing and resuming updates - that doesn't work either!

    Inplace upgrade is the only working solution so far for most of the cases. For me it was the only working solution too.
