Update KB5050009 not installing.

I have tried to update to 2025-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050009) but i get the (Install error - 0x80070306)

I have restarted and shut down my computer multiple times to see if that would fix it but it didn't. I've also tried re-installing the update as well.

Please let me know what i can do to.

    I was able to execute most of these steps (through step 6) and now I get the following message:

    "This update can't be downloaded and installed because it's not yet ready for your device."

    Does this mean that Microsoft is looking into the issues we have experiencing and has paused any further updates?

    This is the only thing that worked for me:

    1. Go to Settings / System / Recovery.
    2. Select the REINSTALL NOW button on the "Fix problems using Windows Update". This option also provides a note, stating "Reinstall your current version of Windows (your apps, files, and settings will be preserved)".
    3. A dialog will display. It will report:

    We'll repair components and system files.

    If a repair solution is available, we'll attempt to fix system component corruption by reinstalling the current version of Windows. Your apps, documents, and settings will be preserved.

    Please make sure your PC is on and connected to the network and a power source.

    After installation, we'll let you know when it's time to restart your PC to complete the repair.

    1. Place a check in the "Automatically restart my PC 15 minutes after installation" option, then select OK.
    2. The "Windows Update" section will then report downloading "Windows 11, version 24H2 (repair version)".

    Downloading and installation will take about an hour, depending on the speed of the computer, if the C: drive is a Hard Disk or an SSD, and the transfer rate of its onboard memory.

    1. Once done installing, the computer must be restarted. As the system starts back up, it will report installing updates. It may in fact auto-reboot a time or two, until all the updates are completed.
    2. Once Windows come back up, we will find our preferences, apps and data are intact, save system interception apps, such as Start Menu X, mentioned above, which can be easily reinstated by simply launching the app again.
    3. Go back into Start / Settings / Windows Update and select Check for Updates, then go into Advanced Options / Optional Updates, to install any optional updates, if any, that are needed for the very latest version of Windows 11 24H2."

    It worked without a glitch!

    Same here. I manually downloaded and installed KB505009 but windows update keeps trying to download and install it and then fails. Already tried the pause updates for 1 week and windows still fails to detect it's already installed.

    Some reboots and other update later I can acknowledge working of this workaround. Actually Windows Update doesn´t need a reboot.
