After windows 11 24h2 upgrade printer prints a few pages, the first with error message

I have a Canon MF643cdw printer as a local printer on a Windows 11 pro desktop connected by usb. A few days ago I upgraded the desktop to the Windows 24H2 level. When I now switch on the printer, the printer itself prints 4 pages. On the first page there are a few lines :

POST /ipp-print HTTP-1.1

Connection: keep alive

Content-type: application/ipp

User-agent: Windows internet print provider

Content-Length:626

host:local host"

I already uninstalled and re-installed the printer, unchecked the informative notifications. But no success. Before the upgrade everything worked well, the issue was introduces by the 24h2 upgrade.

What is the solution for this?

    For Windows 11, version 23H2 there is a different regkey you need to set for the "Known Issue Rollback".

    On our Windows 11 23H2 clients, the following regkey fixed the issue for now:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Policies\Microsoft\FeatureManagement\Overrides] "1513776270"=dword:00000000

    For Windows 11, version 24H2 it does not work. We have not yet found a workaround.

    Microsoft told us to rollback to Windows 11, version 23H2 to get rid of the issue :-/

    This is ridiculous that March KB5053606 for Win 10 listed the USB printer issue as a known issue and you have to perform a KIR to fix it. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/march-11-2025-kb5053606-os-builds-19044-5608-and-19045-5608-8beab4af-42c8-4469-9273-d241597431c3 But nothing is listed under KB5053598 for Win 11.

    How do you deploy this file? There is no MSI that the KIR article keeps stating? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/status-windows-10-22h2#3495msgdesc

    Microsoft is an idiot. The link is suppose to provide an MSI file like the other KIR they have issued for other KBs.

    Add a .MSI to files end . They forgot to add the extension.

    Or extract the MSI with 7 zip and open the admx template with some editor programm to view the content.

    We created a Group Policy Preference and just set the above regkey. If MS brings out a fix you just can remove the regkey again over GPP.

    We didn't want to import the admx template provided by Microsoft on our Domain Controllers...
