After windows 11 24h2 upgrade printer prints a few pages, the first with error message

I have a Canon MF643cdw printer as a local printer on a Windows 11 pro desktop connected by usb. A few days ago I upgraded the desktop to the Windows 24H2 level. When I now switch on the printer, the printer itself prints 4 pages. On the first page there are a few lines :

POST /ipp-print HTTP-1.1

Connection: keep alive

Content-type: application/ipp

User-agent: Windows internet print provider

Content-Length:626

host:local host"

I already uninstalled and re-installed the printer, unchecked the informative notifications. But no success. Before the upgrade everything worked well, the issue was introduces by the 24h2 upgrade.

What is the solution for this?

    I found a possible work-around in case someone else wanted to test. Try disabling a local printer notification in the Windows Print Server Properties. You'll use a Command Prompt opened as an Admin, then launch that properties window

    Once in the options window, select the Advanced tab.

    Disable/deselect the option for, "Show informational notifications for local printers"

    Click Apply then OK to close the window.

    This worked for my USB-connected laser printer. No odd "POST" informational print-outs for 24 hours so far.

    Thank you Greg. It looks like the pages are not printed anymore. Before that change, i was able to reproduce the issue every time when I restarted the Print Spooler service.

    One problem is gone, but there is still the issue, that windows has problems identifying the printers when they are attached to the computer.

    If the USB printer is connected and I restart the Print Spooler service, it takes forever to list the installed printers.

    If I detach the USB printer, the other printers are listed right away after Print Spooler restart.

    MS tried to fix some issues with the KB5051989 (contains also KB5050092 - [USB Print and IPP Over USB] Fixed: An installed printer fails when the spooler initializes.) and made it even worst. If I uninstall this cumulative update, the system just works fine again.

    I'm having this problem on Windows 10 - all the above entries seems to refer to Win 11 - how can I get around the problem which occurs on the Epson WF-110 as well as my OKI MC563 - bothn using USB.
