After windows 11 24h2 upgrade printer prints a few pages, the first with error message

Hello, thank you for your feedback on your issue here, it seems that after upgrading to the 24H2 the printer is experiencing some anomalies when printing.

I first did some research for you, there are other users who have fed back similar issues, which include different brands of printers, from the feedback, due to the incompatibility of the manufacturer's driver with win11, you can first refer to similar threads below. In addition, it is recommended that you also feedback this issue to the printer's manufacturer to get the latest adapted driver for connection

thanks for your reaction.

I had and today have tried the solutions mentioned in the articles.

I again removed and installed the latest driver. The printer is on the latest firmware.

I tried another usb cable.

And disabled the usb selective suspend in the power options.

But issue persists.

The only difference with before the 24h2 upgrade is that after switching on the printer it prompts "waiting" in its display and then puts out the dummy pages (no print job given). It seems to me that usb connection goes to standby after some time if the printer is not online or goes itself to standby.

I'm having the exact same issue after the 24H2 update. It installed on 1/7/2025 for me and today my USB connected HP M430 printer is having the exact same error. The first page is the following text:

POST /ipp-print HTTP-1.1

Connection: keep alive

Content-type: application/ipp

User-agent: Windows internet print provider

Then it prints two blank pages after that. There were no issues with this printer and laptop I have prior to this 24H2 release. Since Microsoft created this issue I'm expecting them to fix this issue and not blame HP, Canon, Lexmark, Epson or any other printer manufacturers.

Further testing, removing the 24H2 update fixed this issue for me. Not sure if that will help others. But it does prove this is an issue with that update in my opinion.

Today I also did a rollback to 23h2 and immediate all issues were solved.

I am sure it is a problem with the 24h2 release and not with the printermanufacturers.
