Antimalware service executable eats memory

title. it's always taking 200-300 mb of memory.

I tried:

disable windows security, got hit with this setting is managed by your (non existent) administrator

end task, got access is denies

command prompt things, did nothing

edit group policy, did nothing

enable disableantispyware in regedit, got hit with access is denied

tried to give myself permission to enable disableantispyware, access is denied

in case I missed any, I basically tried everything you can find online. no matter what I do, either nothing happens, access is denied or this setting is managed by your administrator

I'm about to flip this is my computer, I should get to choose what to do. I am the administrator and only user

    Please run a ProcMon trace and share the zipped log on OneDrive.

    1. Restart the computer, and don't launch Windows Security yet.
    2. Download Process Monitor from Microsoft site: http://live.sysinternals.com/procmon.exe
    3. Launch Process Monitor.
    4. Reset the filter options and click OK.
    5. If tracing does not start automatically, press Ctrl + E.
    6. Reproduce the issue by launching Windows Security.
    7. When Windows Security shows the error, switch to Process Monitor and stop tracing (Ctrl + E).
    8. Save "All Events" in a PML log file.
    9. *Zip* the log file and share it on Google Drive. The PML log size will be big. Zipping it reduces the size by 90%.

    Note:

    The Process Monitor log file (with All Events saved) can reveal your user account name or sometimes the Microsoft account email ID. If you wish to share the log with me or specific people, you can share it using the "Restricted" option in Google Drive. You can grant me access once I send a request.
