SSD 990 EVO Plus (m.2) in bios but not in Windows NT!

SAMSUNG SSD 990 EVO Plus (m.2)

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 HD3P-CF

Windows NT Home

I see the SSD in the Bios but not in the manager or explorer.

When booting from an old windows 10 disk it is visible, but not in Windows NT

Please help!

    Please provide more information on this problem you are having, are you actually trying to install an old version of Windows NT on the PC or Windows 11 (the forum you posted to)?

    What processor model do you have on your PC?

    Hi Dave, thanks for a helping hand!

    My processor is: Intel(R)Core(TM)i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70Ghz, 3696 Mhz, 6 cores

    Bios: American Megatrends Inc. F14, 13-11-2021

    Windows NT Home is my (good) working OS.

    Want to replace my harddisk with a SSD so I installed this SSD in my m.2 slot on the motherboard.

    In the bios I see this SSD!

    When starting up my pc with windows NT Home the SSD is not visible!

    When starting up with an old disk, with Windows 10 the SSD is visible!

    How can I make the SSD visible and working under Windows NT Home?

    NT Home is a very old operating system, it may not have drivers installed for a NVMe drive, because it pre-dates that technology.

    Check the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, to see if they provide chipset drivers compatible with Windows NT that may work with an NVMe drive.

    In that case right click your Start Button and open Disk Management.

    Expand the bottom pane in Disk Management so all drives are visible in that pane, please provide a screenshot of that window.
