Windows installation failed after trying many different ways to Install & Download error - 0x80070002

I started getting Download error - 0x80070002 every time i would try to update windows. And then the MS store stopped working. And whenever i try to open a media file i get the message package couldn't be registered. I tried every single suggestion on the various MS tech support pages.

I also tried resetting and also reinstalling windows - both from the power shell, from a downloaded disk image, and from online. And every single time i tried, it says Operation Failed. Or Windows was not able to be installed. I have tried literally everything and don't know what to do. Are there any suggestions please?

Thanks, please do the following:

Download cbsfix2.reg and save it to a folder on the C drive -- e.g., C:\Fixes
Download AdvancedRun from Nirsoft and run it.
Using AdvancedRun, launch c:\windows\regedit.exe as TrustedInstaller (see Screenshot)
In the Regedit window, click File, and click Import...
Dismiss the "Location is not available" message box by clicking OK.
In the "Import Registry File" window, in the "File name" text box, type C:\Fixes\cbsfix2.reg and press Enter.
After the import is successful, exit Regedit.
Restart Windows.

Try to install updates.

Unfortunately i got a message saying Windows 11 Installation has failed

Please help me fix this, it has been so nice of you . it has taken the entire day and now what?

Hi Ramesh. i think the optionalfeatures exe loaded correctly. This time it wasnt completely blank. Are there any boxes on the various options that showed up that i should check/uncheck?

I am now in the process of loading windows from the iso

Great, you may close the OptionalFeatures.exe dialog without making any changes.

Run setup.exe from the ISO, and let's know how it goes.

I hope the import was successful. If you've encountered any errors, let me know.

Please run "optionalfeatures.exe". Does it load correctly?

If "optionalfeatures.exe" loads correctly:
1. Right-click on the 24H2 ISO you downloaded earlier, and choose "Mount." This assigns the ISO a drive letter.
2. Run setup.exe from the ISO drive. This starts the in-place upgrade/repair installation.
3. This starts the setup dialog. In the initial screen, click “Change how Setup downloads updates”
4. Select “Not right now”, and continue the process.
