Hi,
My pc running windows 10 had the boot/startup error occur earlier today and it isn't the first time. Previously, I used a usb stick to use the recovery tools and it worked although this time it did not.
I decided to try to run some other commands in the command prompt that recreated a bunch of boot files and my bios now shows me 5 booting options; 3 named windows boot manager (previously there was 1 which I would boot from normally) 1 that was just named after my SSD, and the usb plugged in. I tried a few other options but I kept running into errors such as this one and inaccessible boot device. Is there any other method? Am i able to just reinstall windows without losing anything?

Just follow the procedure and delete the partition and create one that will install Windows.
Well, in this case, you would have to buy a Windows 10 or 11 license. If you buy one for 10, you will have a free upgrade to 11.

Hi, I built my computer so there was no windows license that came with it. I had a product key which I don’t have anymore.
I will go through with this method, can you detail it or do I just go back to the partitions and create a new one and it will be formatted properly?

What is the configuration of your PC or laptop model?
Unfortunately, the process will require you to reinstall all programs.
If you purchased a Windows license that came with Windows on this computer, the license is probably linked to it.

Hi, I appreciate the help. Is there 1: a way for me to save the files so I don’t have to reinstall everything? 2: will I need another product key? I was planning on upgrading to windows 11 but I’m not sure if it will be free for me anymore.
