My mic keeps on picking up desktop audio

hi guys, built a new pc last november, everything was fine and all and i decided to pick up a mic splitter like a month ago so i can use my earphones' mic to talk to my friends while i game, so like i noticed an issue when using the mic where it picks up my desktop audio for some reason, tried to fix it by updating realtek drivers, didnt work, this same issue happened to my acer nitro 5 a year back and that was fixed with a driver update, idk what the problem is and idk how to fix it tbh, anyone know how to fix it? tried to look around the web and its just the same stuff i tried, updating, reinstalling drivers, i dont even know at this point i genuinely feel like hating realtek drivers at this point because of how this issue even happens randomly

    Hi ,

    Test the back and see if the same problem occurs, but I believe it is a problem with the division. If it is separate, it is not capturing the sound from the audio output. It cannot go from the speaker to the headphone. There is no configuration that is wrong, because only the test image suggests that I may be wrong.

    In this case, it would be a test with a very old driver, a new version or similar. If you want, I can see the driver ID and find one that is similar to yours. Install and test.

    This confirms what I said and it is the splitter or the headphone itself that is capturing two inputs on the cable.

    If the splitter works, the problem is not the sound driver but the headphone or splitter.

    hi i dont think so because this issue quite literally happened to my acer nitro 5 a year ago but an update fixed it for a bit, i was using different earphones at the time

    the splitter and earphones work normal and im certain its a driver issue, i tested it on my old pc too to figure out if its just with drivers and they worked normally

    at this point im probably going to downgrade to windows 10 or just buy a seperate usb microphone
