Need help upgrading to Windows 11 pro 24H2 form 23H2 0xc1900101 error

I have been trying to upgrade my PC Windows 11 Pro from 23H2 (build 22631.5262) to 24H2 for several months. The upgrade downloads but always fails with the 0xc1900101 error.

My pc meets all of the hardware requirements as per the Microsoft PC Health Check App. My system uses a Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. H470M DS3H -CF mother board, 2.90 gigahertz Intel Core i5-10400- 64 bit, 1.09 TB HDD, drive 0 15.85 Gigabytes Usable Memory, c: (NTFS on drive 0) , 1.09 TB 855.87 GB free. UEFI: American Megatrends Inc. F4 08/28/2020. All of the security update have been installed. All of the drivers have been updated. Memory integrity is on and there are no drivers listed in the vulnerable driver blocklist.

I disconnect the pc from the Internet/Router before running the update. Disconnected the old scanner and deleted the drivers and programs. Removed the Logitec 300 camera and deleted all of the drivers. Run the update troubleshooter. Run FSC and DISM. Reset Windows update components, all several times.

I have looked at C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther and opened setupact.log or setuperr.log to see where the update fails, but do not understand what I am looking for the failure.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lewis,

Thanks for the update. The extra boot entry can be deleted using msconfig.exe (Boot tab). 24H2 setup added it.

Please create a registry backup using Acelogix Regbak.

Run this fix list to remove some third-party drivers.
- Download fixlist.txt
- Save Fixlist.txt to the same folder as FRST64English.exe.
- Close all programs.
- Launch the Farbar Scanner tool and click "Fix".
- Restart Windows when prompted.
- Upload the output log file (FixLog.txt) to your OneDrive.
- Upload %date%-%time% zip file saved to your desktop.

0xC1900101 - 0x20017	Ensure that all that drivers are updated. <br>Open the Setuperr.log and Setupact.log files in the %windir%\Panther directory, and then locate the problem drivers. <br>For more information, see Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 setup log file locations. <br>Update or uninstall the problem drivers.	A driver has caused an illegal operation. <br>Windows wasn't able to migrate the driver, resulting in a rollback of the operating system. <br>This is a SafeOS boot failure, typically caused by drivers or non-Microsoft disk encryption software. <br>This can also be caused by a hardware failure.

Sorry for the delay. PC decided to automatically download/install 24H2 and didn't want to make things worse by cancelling. The install failed with the same 9100101 error.

The Farbar logs are posted at https://gofile.io/d/O7jTDb with today's date.

While poking around in the BIOS, I found something that I wasn't sure if it should be there.

Two Boot managers??

Windows still loading/running in the clean boot mode.

I still had easeus partition master suits installed. Uninstalling now with advanced uninstaller pro
