Yaa I'm worried as this is my first laptop and is new. Also the service centres are at a very great distance from my home. So I want a one-time solution for all the problems.

Every Major OEM provides Remote assistance support under warranty.

Since I think you're worried about lots of things that can go wrong, a reset should be good for you.

    So what should I do?

Reset or Clean Install to fix update issues and Defender issues:

Note: I will use remove everything option

Please, read through the replies again.

I believe I've seen replies from other threads saying that their update issues weren't fixed even after a clean-install, so if it doesn't work, you may need to wait for an update or try any other fix.

PS: look, it'd be helpful for everyone subscribed to this thread if you don't post multiple replies with the same question. We keep getting a lot of e-mails from replies, and like the Volunteer Moderator mentioned before, support is not fast. We too have day-to-day stuff going on so our replies will be delayed.
