This security update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:

  • Addresses an issue that causes a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) modify operation to fail if the operation contains the SamAccountName and UserAccountControl attributes. The error message is, “Error: 0x20EF. The directory service encountered an unknown failure”.

To update to one of the newer versions of Windows 10, we recommend that you use the appropriate Enablement Package KB (EKB). To find the EKB for a specific OS, go to theImprovements and fixes section and click or tap the OS name to expand the collapsible section.

    This Windows Update worked for me. Installed without problem, and also removed the 3 "failed to install" messages that I had received after trying to install 2022-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems (KB5010386). Thanks for the quick fix and for your reply message. LPS

    Oh yes, we so need the weather, but forget about fixing any network related issues, and how each new update to edge wrecks the settings like the user selected home page.

    And Internet Explorer? I thought that was deprecated?
