Windows 11 Sign Issues with Challenge Phrase

This is one reason people don't use the pin/catchphrase because after changing and TRYING to enter into the account it is IMPOSSIBLE.

Just happened to my boss at work today. Windows locked him out and will NOT let me reset his password or PIN. Even trying to unlock it with his Microsoft account (following the instructions on the login screen), filling out EVERY FIELD on the provided form and waiting for a response only got Microsoft to say I didn't provide enough info and lock me back out. Guess we'll be reinstalling the OS on this two month old machine at work and getting rid of Windows myself as soon as I feasibly can.

I am trying to sign into my laptop as normal, but it says my password has been entered incorrectly so I have to enter the challenge phrase A1B2C3 and then my password. I know my password is correct but it keeps locking me out saying it is incorrect. I've followed Windows 11 tutorials to fix login issues but none mention the challenge phrase, which seems to be our issue.

I am trying like loads of other folk to get into my computer but get the words ‘challenger phrase’ every Which way. Really had enough now with Microsoft and their fancy tricky dickie A1B2C3 so if anyone is in Essex and wants a computer - go to Great Baddow refuse tip and you will find it in the green bin

Do not muck around. I tried for days with no success. No help from Microsoft either.

As annoying as it may sound, the only fix is to reload Windows 11.

What Microsoft DO NOT UNDERSTAND is that their required PIN and useless Challenger Phrase has locked me out of my main computer. I am using a laptop to type this comment. Why make something difficult when you can make it impossible?
