Windows 11 Sign Issues with Challenge Phrase

Hi,

I am trying to sign into my laptop as normal, but it says my password has been entered incorrectly so I have to enter the challenge phrase A1B2C3 and then my password. I know my password is correct but it keeps locking me out saying it is incorrect. I've followed Windows 11 tutorials to fix login issues but none mention the challenge phrase, which seems to be our issue.

Had same issue, the challenge phrase is literally what it says - you just have to enter A1B2C3 and it lets you try your PIN again. Hope this helps

    Hi,

Maybe you misunderstood, I still can not sign in.

I enter the challenge phrase, go to enter my PIN and it is still telling me that it is incorrect when it is not. Because of this I can not get into a place where I am able to change or reset my PIN.

    Thanks

The SafeMode Restart still boots only to the Challenge Phrase option. There is no Password Option

If you know your Pin or password is correct...but Microsoft is saying it is wrong...there has to be a solution...you cannot have a computer you cannot use because Microsoft thinks it is right...I bought a new computer 3 days ago and found I enter the wrong password I tried everything to enter the correct pin number nothing worked I thought I would have a computer that cost me hundreds of pounds and had to be thrown but I did a reset and got back in that way...I am so worried now every time I have to sign in...I am in my 70s and when you are in those numbers you can easily forget

The only brute force attack on my computer was by microsoft. I suggest a Class Action lawsuit to get by this fiasco.
