I noticed that the PC started running slow today and opened task manager to see that System, Feeds (Search application) is using CPU and Disk quite heavily and as much ram that it can to pin it to 100%.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Update: Windows crashed and i restarted, same application started to ramp up again so i ended it.

Looking into events now.

Yes, this stops the problem of course. It's a pity because I actually use this feature frequently.

This happened to me 2 days ago as well, I killed the process and it happened today too. It seems like everything works well when I kill the process but it is annoying that it keeps coming back like this.

This same thing happened to me this afternoon. I was running Rainbow 6 and then it suddenly crashed. I then opened chrome and it crashed before opening. I looked at task manager and saw that Feeds was taking up 14 gigs of my 16 gb of memory. I ended the task and it solved the problem.

    PC Specs:

    CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3800X

    Ram - G.Skill 16gb

    Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Thought I'd post my experience. Knew right off the bat that it felt like a memory leak, first noticed it last night. Entire computer froze and was moving at 1 fps every 5 seconds. Restarted and nothing went wrong so thought nothing of it. Happened again earlier today and decided to check task manager before it got too slow. Sure enough it was the feeds using 99% of ram usage on a 32gb of ram/AMD 5950x. Ended that task and everything went fine. I disabled the news on the taskbar and so far nothing. Definitely reminded me why I hate Microsoft updates.
