Lenovo Integrated Camera Not Working with Windows 11

Both my husband and I have Lenovo laptops (S340-15IIL Touch Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81WW and IdeaPad 5i) and after the latest windows update our integrated cameras do not work in any apps or programs. We have tried all the troubleshooting, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, F8, etc.

When we view the camera in settings it has a solid gray box (the indicator light shows next to the camera showing it is in use). Also have tried the Camera app and experience the same gray box. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix?

    Eventually got a solution, claimed for Warranty from the retailer, it was sent back to Lenovo, this was a hardware issue, they replaced camera hardware. Hey also advised use of Microsoft Edge as a main browser. They uninstalled Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. What I also noted was that when using Edge, the laptop heats up less, this is SSD and not hard drive laptop which i believe the cooling fan is not robust as hard drive type. Using Browsers like Chrome and Mozilla gets even this SSD laptop to heat up as i can feel differences in temperatures at the back there compared to when using Edge which is hardly even warm. Anyone using Chrome, and Mozilla please on different days use a different browser and feel this huge difference .

    i got my laptop off of 2nd hand, the warranty was expired a year ago, where can i get it done repaired?

    I have the similar issue on windows 11.
    It says shutter over the camera or not working. but I have the latest camera software installed and it's not working on gogle meet or zoom when I'm on calls

    Hi!

    Revert to the previous driver, developed by Microsoft.

    The latest driver from Lenovo does not work!
