Lenovo Integrated Camera Not Working with Windows 11

Both my husband and I have Lenovo laptops (S340-15IIL Touch Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81WW and IdeaPad 5i) and after the latest windows update our integrated cameras do not work in any apps or programs. We have tried all the troubleshooting, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, F8, etc.

When we view the camera in settings it has a solid gray box (the indicator light shows next to the camera showing it is in use). Also have tried the Camera app and experience the same gray box. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix?

    Hey i hope u are talking about the gear thing just on the camera lens, i tried to rotate it but i couldn't, tried with a tweezer and wasn't able to again ( i didn't break it don't worry )
    The voltages are

    i couldn't find anything if it needs 3.3V all across the last 4 pins to work but the camera isn't working

    i wish lenovo could provide me how much voltage should go for the camera to work

    ( i just realized u are not talking about lenovo legions which lave shutter on the right side of the chassis, omg but yeah i think voltages aren't good so it doesn't work in my case

    Thank you! It's a hardware fault. I similarly checked everything and installed multiple drivers to no avail. I followed your thinking but instead of dismantling the bezel, I applied pressure to the case and camera simultaneously. I now have an image. Moving the lid disrupts the image but I can live with it for the moment. I'll now use the same fix on my other identical Lenovo C640 that has exactly the same problem. Can't thank you enough!

    I have a Lenovo i7 purchased 2 years back. Running with windows 11 home. When I renewed my annual subscription for office camera stopped working. I was assisted by 2 microsoft consultants remotely it first it worked temporarily but later stopped. It does exactly like you explained, I switched on the slider privacy switch on the screen still no help.The technician asked if there us a keyboard camera key, there is non for this laptop. Amazingly I have an old Lenovo laptop bought in 2012 it's falling apart but camera still works on teams etc
