Print Spooler Service won't stay running - Windows 11
Is there a fix for the Windows 11 Print Spooler Service that I can't get to run? It was working fine until last Tuesday - then no printing. I've removed the printers, uninstalled/reinstalled the software, updated everything. Gone through the suggested steps but problem isn't resolved. I keep getting the following: "The local print spooler is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine." I get this whether I try to print or run print properties.
I can print to the printer(s) from a Windows 10 machine (laptop) with no problems so I don't think it's the printer(s) (Canon Pro-300 and HP Office Jet).
In the control panel there is an Inkjet Printer that I cannot remove - says it's a Canon inkjet printer with Driver unavailable (I found a driver listed at one time - C:\Windows|system\32\drivers\ksthunk.sys). How can I remove this device?
Any suggestions before I start over.
Thanks.

2022-08-30T21:03:38+00:00 I just discovered the same problem. Print spooler will not stay running. It affects, of course, all printers - print to PDF, HP, Canon, etc. that I have on my computer.
I upgraded to Adobe Acrobat a few weeks ago and thought initially that was the problem, but I don't think so anymore. I had one ticket with Microsoft and thought we fixed it when the spooler ran again and then stopped by the time the phone hung up. But alas, I am getting pretty ornery too.
I have tried everything but reinstalling Windows 11 or going back down to Windows 10.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jonathan

2022-08-29T22:56:32+00:00 It is now August 29, 2022 and my machine that was working just fine last week, WIndows 11, will not print to my HP LaseJet 1320n. In fact everything says I don't have any printers installed. Yet the LaserJet was showing up in the Bluetooth & devices under printers. But it was saying 'not connected.' I have now removed the LaserJet printer, but can't add it back! In fact all the default things that windows puts here were all saying 'not connected' as well. The only thing showing as connected and 'Idle' was a Canon scanner i just installed. I'm thinking Canon may be at the root of all our problems. I'm going to see if I can uninstall the scanner. It works fine on a laptop with Windows 10. So I may revert to just that machine for scanning.

2022-06-26T04:31:12+00:00 To be more specific...
Now the Print Spooler sometimes stayed running. (After a restart, I may have to Start the Service bcos it didn't get started)
During installation of print driver full package, Print Spooler stayed in Running mode...
Until a point it gave message : End Point Mapper cannot find the Endpoint Device...Then I noticed the Print Spooler stops.
