Ethernet keeps disconnecting

So I just got a new PC, everything works smoothly, however whenever I try to plug in my ethernet, it'll connect for a random amount of time (few hours or few days) and then mysteriously it disconnects.

I try unplugging and replugging it into my PC but with no results. Only when I remove it from the router and replug it in to a different port does it finally connect, but this is only a temporary solution.

Any ideas?

Drivers don't need updating, I've already checked.

    Why this driver is not installed from Microsoft driver base, when you deinstall the NIC and driver and add the NIC again?

    Also: We have Belkin-Docking-Stations, which have Realtek (bought in 2022), the other half (bought in 2023) has ASIX AX88179 chipset.

    Same case with both manufactures?

    Edit1: seems it’s the case with ASIX, too, that MS uses an old driver V1.16.27.321 from 2016-03-21.

    Edit2: ok, the old drivers in our case are ARM64 drivers, since the machines making trouble have a Snapdragon CPU…

    Okay since i have struggled with this myself and searched many threads and allthough this is an old thread i still wanted to post my solution:

    This seems like it's a Windows 11 driver problem, you need to get this official ALL-IN-ONE driver from Realtek:

    https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/network-interface-controllers-10-100-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-usb-3-0-software

    Just run the automatic installer for Windows 11 and it will detect and update your Realtek ethernet driver and voila! No more disconnects.

    Edit: there is also a windows 10 installer on the same page

    No matter what the driver I put even the latest or old one it doesn't work so finally I figured out to go to the rollback and it's work fine for me no disconnected but remember it's a window 11 doesn't give you any notification change lan driver suddenly and then I noticed I start disconnecting again I click to roll back driver called 1.0.0.14 working so far fine

    Hi I have a same issue keep disconnecting the only thing I find out if you turn on your computer while on disconnect your wire and reconnect your wire and it will stay as much your computer is on but you have to do sometime couple reconnect and disconnect but it stay longer doesn't disconnect unless if you restart the computer back then it does again

    I cannot find the older version

    FWIW, for me, it turned out to be a Realtek driver issue.

    Realtek USB GBE Ethernet Controller Driver | Driver Details | Dell US

    • Problem introduced with the 4/19/2022 driver.
    • Problem initially solved with end-around by rolling back to 12/16/2019 driver.
    • Problem hopefully permanently solved with the 8/23/2022 driver update (1153.9.823.2022).

    I have not had a single disconnect since installing the new driver on November 12.
