Windows 11: Alt+Tab bolder border?

Exactly! I've been writing software for 33 years and I've never had a customer who'd tolerate this it's insane. Windows 11 Pro, no colour or theme customisations, latest patches as at Sept 18th 2022 and I'm alt tabbing to change Windows and I CAN ONLY TELL WHICH ONE IS HIGHLIGHTED IF MY NOSE IS TOUCHING THE SCREEN?!

So sick of this. Copy a bunch of files and you don't even get a rename option if one already exists, just overwrite or skip cos if they're the same size they must be the same right? NO, if it's word we need to open it. So save as new NAME. EVEN MY ANDROID PHONE DOES NOT WORK THAT. All Microsoft does is change the UI making it worse.

I alternate between Win 10 at work and 11 at home - why did you shuffle the location of all the monitor settings? Why is "extend or duplicate" screens at top on one and bottom on the other?!

I'm so sick of being held to a higher standard than Microsoft developers. It isn't fair.

you can use WIndows Key + TAB and then use the mouse cursor to go to the window.

But I agree it has been annoying that this is still not possible. Mine is up to date. But I have Windows 11 Pro version 22000.856

So in Windows 10 I used just the mouse cursor and then go to the taskbar and point to the (already opened) program window I need on the taskbar itself. But not in Windows 11 Pro. I have 3 screens. My center screen is the "main" screen. From that screen I can not reach already opened programs from the taskbar using the mouse. Only if the program is on top already in the main screen. But then I can go straight to it. So I can use this method from the other 2 screens for some reason but not from the middle main screen. But I do not want to first move the mouse to the left or right screen.

So this is annoying. This was not the case in Windows 10

Therefor I wanted to use Alt-Tab but I can hardly see the window that is highlighted. The Microsoft Win-Key + Tab key and then using the mouse is the only option left

I wish it was coming faster but right now the only solution is to either wait for the update or join the preview program to get the update a few months early.

One alternative that might be okay temporarily while you wait, try the Windows Key+Tab instead of Alt+Tab. That brings up a similar task switcher but with much larger previews so you can visually see and click the one you want.

I know you can change the color of the outline, but I'm not certain about a way to change the thickness.

The color can be changed from Settings > Personalization > Color > Accent Color.

That accent colour only changes the outline of windows when they are NOT being viewed via ALT-Tab... with Alt-Tab the outline is always black, regardless of the Accent colour settings. I have updated to the latest preview version of windows today...
