[SOLVED] Working touch-screen as secondary monitors on Windows 11

I have recently a second touch-screen monitor to use with my PC. It works perfectly except for the fact that touch does not work if it is set up as the second display. For Windows 10 I have to use "Table PC Settings" to assign touch input to secondary monitor. On Windows 11 I cannot find any tools like this. So the touch input is always triggering primary monitor.

Hello Mr Adrian,

In the control panel, change the icons to large icons

Then you will be able to see the "Tablet PC" icon, click it.

From there you seem to be familiar with how to do set it up, but will go over the next couple steps just in case you dont.

Click "Setup"

Next, there will be a dialog box to asking if you want the app to make changes, click "yes"

Finally, all your screens should turn white with a this text in the middle of the primary screen "Tap this screen with a single finger to identify it as the touch screen. If this is not the table PC screen, Press Enter to move to the next screen".

Press Enter until you get to the monitor you want to use as a touch screen. NOTE: I am not sure if you can use more than one touch screen with Windows 11... yet.

    Lyndon's remark should be correct. But the issue with another laptop monitor isn't so weird, especially if your touchscreen monitor uses a USB connection for the touch element. What port you plug a device into, the order it is added to the system, and the general attitude of the day can all play a role in what order your devices are loaded by the OS. Switching ports will likely change the order of screens that the message will pop up on. But once the order is set, your computer will remember it.

    So, like Lyndon said, just press enter if it's on a non-touch monitor or touch if it is until all screens have been accounted for and you should be good. Just be sure you always use the same ports if you swap systems.

    This does work, but you should probably shortcut "Tablet PC Settings" and put it on your desktop, because it's likely that which monitor it believes the touch goes to will change randomly over time. In my case it often changes when I resume from hibernation. I wish Windows would learn which monitor is the "touch" monitor and keep the changes made, but it does not.

    If you are doing this, an important step that isn't entirely clear is that after you have done the touch on your touchscreen to identify it as one, you need to press enter until the tool cycles through any other screens and closes itself. Do not just press ESC to close the tool as this seems to literally just close the tool, not saving any settings you have done.

    Caused us a big headache when setting up large interactive screens and we think this might be the reason so many people are seeing posts on forums saying this tool sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

    To reiterate, allow the tool to cycle through all screens by pressing enter, touching whichever one is the touchscreen when prompted, until the tool closes itself. Same for the pen setup if you are setting up a device that uses a pen. Do not press ESC to close the tool.

    The solution worked for me once, but it no longer works. I go through the setup calibration, press Enter to move the text onto the correct screen, and tap the screen (which closes the tool), but touches are still registering on my main monitor.

    I have tried just about everything, but other than setting the touchscreen as my primary (which I *don't* want to do) nothing works.
