So the title is basically my problem. The left alt key and the windows key are swapped. I have no idea how this came to be and I really do not know how to fix this. Any help would be great.

Edit: I tried using the on-screen keyboard and the functions are still the same. They haven't been changed

Hi Eliandre,

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this.

The solution may depend on your keyboard, try each of the following keyboard shortcuts one at a time to see if that switches those keys back:

Fn + A

Fn + S

Fn + Space Bar for 3 seconds

If none of those work for you:

Open Device Manager

Expand the Keyboards section

Right click your keyboard and choose 'Uninstall'

Then restart (not shut down) your PC

Happened to me! I figured it out. If your keyboard is anything like mine where there is a "Windows/Android" & "iOS/Mac" switch, check if the switch is on "Windows" mode. Hope that helps.

(I have the Keychron K2).

    Hi
I'm also having the same problem and tried your solution but didn't work. I have a LTC Nimbleback keyboard that has swapped the keys entirely.
Such as when I press the windows key nothing happens but when I press the Alt key the windows icon opens.
