Cumulative updates May 2021

This update is killing my computer. I'm at the point that Windows has to update after reboot or during shutdown. I always got BSOD and my computer won't start without BSOD. Solution was to restore but, after restore the update is already there, waiting to be installed after shutdown or reboot. Them the same loop begins, BSOD - restore - need to reboot.

I tried to uninstall this update, but It isn't listed as one of the already installed updates.

Any suggestions?

Hey, late to the party, but I can't believe this isn't being listed here as a problem. Me and a bunch of guys are having problems with a very specific and debilitating freeze.

They will appear within a VERY random timeframe whenever you're running a videostream of some kind, personally in one instance even when I was just running a 3D program by itself. This timeframe can range from once a week, to three times in one hour. The computer will remain functional to a very small extent, programs can be opened, but they won't be displayed properly (or at all), however input is accepted and will sometimes even execute (for example, CMD window will allow you to perform various operations, but it won't be displayed, you can send a message over discord and it won't be displayed, but the message is still sent and viewable after reboot). 

And I get it, you'll say "oh do windows reinstall, update and it's probably your hardware!!" listen it's the update we got near the end of march, several people are reporting the same exact thing, and I mean "EXACTLY" the same symptoms and cause. Something in that update broke a very specific thing related to videos / graphics, and we've ruled out everything but this update. One reported to have reinstalled windows at least 3 times and still have the issue, don't even start with the blanket solution suggestions, this ain't a normal <removed> problem, I've never seen such a complex malfunction in my life. What we need is for Microsoft to even be aware that this **** is happening, and fix it ASAP, my computer is positively dying because of these forced shutdowns, and I can expect from the largest operating system distributor in the world to have my computer handle a webbrowser with one live video in it, because <removed> I am fed up with this.

Troubleshoot Windows 10 activation errors

Do you have absolutely any idea of how ridiculously difficult it can be to contact support and report a bug directly? I understand there are an incredible amount of users of Windows 10, but boy is it difficult to through to the "workaround" to even have a chance to report a bug. It's actually insane. Though I do prefer Windows, I'd certainly prefer Linux over any of this.

Here are my more recent qualms:

In the past, there have been a serious issue with software and hardware issues regarding microphones and video capturing devices. I'm very appreciative those have been(mostly) solved)... However, there are still issues which are at least better.

Currently, after this most recent update, I cannot use the search bar under any circumstances. Though my computer is quite adept and capable of processing large amounts of information, it seems this recent update has undermined its ability to process as it should. The search bar is completely dysfunctional, both on the toolbar and in the file explorer. Furthermore, it seems it is taking an exorbitant amount of time to process basic tasks such as navigating the file explorer.

Please, please fix these issues as it's very difficult to keep up with any sort of work, much less leisure, in these circumstances. Also, the workaround one has to do to even get to a point of contacting an individual or team with a bug is absolutely fiendish. Understandably you wouldn't want your average Joe or Jane to report on issues that can be easily fixed, however those with knowledge or programming background should more easily be able to navigate this mighty crevasse.

In fact, for the longest time(which is now somewhat solved), I was completely unable to access the Microsoft store for unknown reasons even though my login information was correct. I was also not able to use Microsoft Help to any degree(and therefore could not submit any sort of bug report or access help), minus basic processes such as internet. Though I could (barely) do this through CMD much to my chagrin, it was very much irritating and still is to this day.

There has been something inherently wrong with Windows 10 and has been very common knowledge in the community since its release. Many bugs have been solved or at least being worked on greatly, but this particular update has really met my match if I dare say so. Not being able to easily access important files has most recently been the bane of my existence as I both work and "play" on my computer. I also have had many error messages stating that the something-or-another- WINDOWS - something-or-another - could not open X and Y. Many of these error messages make no sense as to why they would appear ( boy do I wish I had these error message #'s, and sorry I can't be of more help in that regard).

These issues need to be fixes, and not on my part. Please respond.

hi all,

i'm having a problem: i tried installing the latest update but the computer lost power in the middle of the installation, while it was being rebooted, and when i restarted it, it said that it was undoing the changes cause it couldn't be installed properly.

Since then (yesterday) i've constantly had the icon in the tray that says "Your device needs to restart to install updates" and when i go over the Power off options, it says "install updates and turn off". 

Problem is, it doesn't do that. No installation, it simply shuts down and the icon/option is still there next time.

Any idea how to fix it?
