Whenever I open the Minecraft launcher signed in as my Microsoft account which is my only account it will show me a message that says: "Oh no! Something went wrong, and we couldn't connect to Minecraft Services" and the Play button is replaced with a Play offline button but once I click that to play offline, it will say I need to make a profile even though I have a profile and have been playing the game until this error occurred. But once I click to create a profile, it will sign me into the Minecraft website and bring me to my account profile screen where it will give me the message: "Something went wrong... press reload to try again." and once I click reload, nothing changes. this error happened on Friday, May 28th.

Yeah me too. What a waste. I paid for both Java and Windows versions and now I cannot even play at all. Microsoft ruined yet another game.

As of 1/9/2022 this is still a game breaking issue. Sad, considering a game from 10 years ago is still $30 to buy and is unplayable.

I have tried this on no less than 6 computers, 4 of which have never had a single game installed on them, 2 of which were brand new setups as of last weekend.

Nothing I have done has helped, and Microsoft is absolutely no help with the situation.

I can 100% confirm it's account related, as I can log out of the windows store and the minecraft launcher and log into another minecraft/windows account and access the store just fine.

Microsoft needs to resolve this. Until they do, I am asking for a refund on a game I paid for and is unplayable.

I've manage to get the new MS launcher to work. I logged out of my MS account in the launcher, and logged into my son's MS account. As he doesn't have MC connected with MS, it came up No Minecraft associated with account!

I logged out of his account and logged back into my own. Hey Presto! The new launcher now recognised my MC account. There was a quick launcher update and the Demo button was replaced with the Play button.

Yep also having the same problem. Weirdly though, it only happens on my Surface Pro 6 with Windows 11, my old Windows 10 Desktop PC runs the new launcher on the same account without issues (despite having an ugly icon and being very slow).

Just use the old launcher for now. It’s clearly a bug on their end.
