For Office 2007 File Validation IssueGo to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Find OFV.CAB and extract it.

You'll have OFV.msi

Install it and hit Retry on Windows Update.

    Hello all, this has been well documented,

    "Yes, I too agree that waiting for 12 to 24 hours is the proper solution to the "Windows update error 0x80240023 for the Microsoft Office File Validation Add-in update. 

    So if like me, anyone took my original advice and hid the File Validation Add-in update using the wushowhide utility, you will have to rerun the wushowhide utility and uh-hide it so that it can update going forward."
